My head hurts. That's probably what happens when you post up in a small study room on the 7th floor and read 19 Neuroscience syllabus entries in three 50-minute blocks.
Let's just say I know sooo much more about the brain and brain disorders now than I did a few hours ago. Topics I covered include
- Thalamus, Hypothalamus, Cortex
- Vision
- Limbic system
- Epilepsy
- Pharmocology
- Head Trauma
- Strokes
- Congenital Malformations
- Metabolic Diseases
- Brain Tumors
And I still have three more lectures to go. After those I'm going to take a nap and hope that my brain will take advantage of it to consolidate all this information in... well... wherever my brain puts information (that's the next lecture I need to read - Cellular Basis of Learning). Today is a learning day :)
